1 Chronicles 4:10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, ” Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.
It has been Milembe’s prayer this year that God may enlarge the territory of Iringa according to 1 Chronicles 4:10.Milembe is Iringa’s regional coordinator working with 3 universities.
Milembe writes, “for the past five years, Mkwawa University (which has 3 active fellowship members) has not allowed students to conduct their fellowship within the campus, the fellowship members would meet under the tree. This week we failed to continue with our meetings which we opted conduct at the Vimbweta (concrete beanches) for the students to attend rather than under the tree where some of them couldn’t attend. We failed to meet due to the fact that it was raining, since January is a rainy season. And I have been asking myself, if it happens to rain for a while means no meetings will be happening?”
Despite what has been happening, 4 students attended small group bible study at Ruaha University, 8 students attended at Mkwawa University and 13 attended fellowship at Iringa University. 8 of them are the product of the door to door evangelism which was conducted last month at Ruaha Catholic University (RUCU), and Mkwawa university. 192 students were reached through one to one evangelism and 24 gave their lives to Christ.
Mike Nyembo a student from Mkwawa when asked about his experience sharing the gospel with fellow students had this to say, “the week was amazing since i developed a courage to face and tell others about salvation. One challenge i faced was to tell the opposite religion the reality of Jesus as GOD. My advice to all people is, still there are many with a desire to receive Jesus so let evangelism be a continuous movement “
